KAREN MARKS MAFUNDIKWA

Karen Marks Mafundikwa is director, producer, writer and co-editor of documentary feature, The Price of Memory (2014). Previously, she produced/wrote documentary feature Shungu: The Resilience of a People (2009) following ordinary people in Zimbabwe during economic crisis, the highest inflation in history and political stalemate. Shungu screened on three continents and garnered international broadcasts. She has a BA in Journalism from NYU and an MSc in International Development from Tulane University Law School. She was Senior Consulting Officer at JAMPRO/Jamaica Film Commission. Previously, she produced content for US television including NBC Today Show, CBS Early Show and CourtTV.com.

Travolta Alexander is a producer, director, editor and owner of Avatar Media Productions based in Kingston, Jamaica. He is instrumental in production and postproduction of several local projects including commercials, PSA’s, features and television series. Travolta is also editor of the documentary feature, The Price of Memory (2014). He is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona.
